I'm glad to announce that the new Apertis v2027dev1 development release
is now available!
Apertis v2027dev1 is the second development release of the Apertis v2027
stable release flow and it is based on Debian Trixie. It will lead to
Apertis v2027.0 release in March 2027.

This release ships the Linux 6.18 kernel and it is based on Debian
Trixie but later releases in the v2027 channel will be tracking newer

I'm glad to announce that the new Apertis v2026.0 release is now available!
Apertis v2026.0 is the first stable release of the Apertis
v2026 stable release flow. Apertis is committed to maintaining the v2026
release stream until December 2027.
This is the first stable point release in the v2026 channel and the
first one based on Debian Trixie. As part of this release flow Apertis
will track the latest changes in LTS Linux kernel 6.18.x series.
As this is the first stable release after a rebase, all the packages
have been updated to the version available in Debian Trixe, from which
below is a list of highlights:
- GCC 14.2.0-19
- Glib 2.84.4-3~deb13u2
- Glibc 2.41-12~deb13u1
- Systemd 257.9-1~deb13u1
- OpenSSL 3.5.4-1+deb13u2
- GNU TLS 3.8.9-3~deb13u1
- Nginx 1.26.3-3+deb13u1
- Gstreamer 1.26.2-2
- Pipewire 1.4.2-1
Additionally, this is the list of features introduced during the
development of v2026:
- Weston as default compositor
- SDK image rework
- Package builder CI improvements
